Wellness Week

This week saw a myriad of talks, activities and speakers for the students of St. Brendan’s.drumming

On Monday, Robert Fisk – international Middle East Correspondent – challenged the Leaving Cert students to always “monitor the centres of power” in their lives while nutritionist Erina McSweeney worked with the 1st years.

On Wednesday, 5th & 6th years supported the senior footballers in retaining the O’Sullivan Cup while the 2nd years rattled the slates from the roof at a Drumming workshop in the Canteen.

On Thursday, the life coach, Joe O’Connor, worked with 3rd years while Mike Lindsay worked with 2nd years and Transition year on the links between food, exercise and mental health and Tony Noctor worked with 5th years on the negative effects of Macho culture while South West Counselling delivered a workshop on Relationship and Sexuality.

On Friday all 1st years got the opportunity to experience the Brazilian Martial Arts of Capoeira while 5th and 6th years availed of an introduction to Mindfulness – all-in-all a busy week at the College.
