Switzerland Exchange – La Chaux de Fonds

We arrived in Switzerland late Saturday night. We met our exchangeTwelve students from both St. Brigid’s Secondary School and St. Brendan’s College Killarney took the opportunity to take part in a week long student exchange in Geneva, Switzerland where they worked on improving their French. They stayed in a small city ‘La Chaux-de-Fonds’, a French-speaking region on the French border. During their stay, the twelve students stayed with a host family, attending a Swiss school, participating in activities and visiting Swiss landmarks. In return, the Swiss correspondents will be spending a week in Killarney in March. The St Brendan's and St Brigid's Secondary School pupils who made the trip were Seamus Gallagher, Jack Galvin, Christine O'Hara, Ivan Moynihan, Luke Casey (back from left) Ciara Fell, Ciara Carroll, Jake Flynn, Abbey Logan, Rob Lee, Caoimhe Kelly and Liadh O'Sullivan with teachers Paul Kelliher and Ciara Carmody. Saturday we got up and met at the train station to go home. It was a great experience that really helped us to understand French culture and bring on our language. I’d recommend it to anyone. We look forward to welcoming the Swiss to Ireland in march.
