Charity begins at home for St. Brendan’s students

The staff and students of St. Brendan’s College have had an extremely busy half term with regard to their Social Justice and fundraising programme. Ten members of staff engaged in the Movember Men’s Cancer Awareness Project and in the process raised €1584 for the Irish Cancer Society. Organiser Mr. Declan O’Donoghue was rich in his praise for his colleagues who participated and for the students of the school who unreservedly supported the teacher’s efforts. Now in its’ third year, St. Brendan’s Movember efforts have raised €4500 for charity. Mr. O’Donoghue emphasised the importance of being involved in charitable works as central to the mission of the college in preparing our students as active citizens. School Principal Sean Coffey expressed his delight with the whole school community response to this annual drive.
