Pupils of St. Brendan’s College, since its foundation over 150 years ago, have reached the pinnacle of success in all walks of life; Priesthood, Education, Industry, Medicine, Sport, Administration,  Entrepreneurship, the Arts and Science.

Throughout those years building upgrades occurred with the Brosnan Building (1930’s), the Moynihan Building (1960’s) and the Flaherty Building (1970’s). Whilst the integrity of the buildings – roofs, windows,  heating etc. have been updated through grant aid, some of the facilities of the college are now dated and in need of modernisation. The Department of Education grant just covers the day to day maintenance of our college. While the college curriculum, extra-curricular activities and staff and student achievement abound in this historic school, there is little capital finance available for upgrading, revitalising and putting in place the structures a school of our size and history demands. In the 21st century we are a vibrant place of teaching, learning and accomplishment but needing renewal and lacking funds. To reach our targets, St Brendan’s relies entirely upon the generosity of the parents of students, past pupils, businesses in our community and people like you.

How can you help?

Each and every gift, regardless of size, counts. Any size or kind of gift, large or small, pays for the equipment and education of our students – today and into the future.

You can subscribe by:

a)      Joining Cáirde Bhréanainn-Friends of St.Brendan’s –  €100 per annum

b)       Make a donation – a living benefactor may wish to discuss how any donation would be directed / used. The School plan section of this site contains the outline targets of the current community at the school for its’ medium term development.

c)      Leave a legacy
You may wish to donate philanthropically or leave a legacy which would help to transform St. Brendan’s and as a consequence, the society we shape.  If you so wish the  management of St. Brendan’s would discuss confidentially with you how you might wish the legacy to be invested in the College.
