Graduation Mass

st brendans graduation 13kk copyOur 85 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students gathered with the parents and teachers to celebrate their graduation Mass on Tuesday, May 19th.  The Mass was concelebrated by chaplain’s, Fr. Joe Begley and Fr. Jim Linehan.  The choir under the stewardship of Mrs. Mish O’Donoghue was in full voice, the chapel rich in “going forth”  symbolism, the centre piece being a branch from a tree planted to celebrate the College Centenary in 1860.  From this Ms. Bríd O’Leary and Mrs. Patsy Harrington-O’Shea had created a magical “Wish tree”.  Head Prefect, Fionán O’Donoghue, spoke “perfectly” of the six years he and his peers had spent at St. Brendan’s.

Following the Mass, organised by the Parents’ Council and the 5th year parents the annual BBQ was arranged by the 300 strong gathering – a fitting community conclusion to the celebration.
