6th Year Graduation

On Tuesday night last the College chapel at St. Brendan’s was full to over flow with 105 excited sixth years, their parents, families and staff of the College.

As the culmination of second level education for this class group, the evening was full of hope and joy for the future, tinged with the sense of loss at the separation of friends as new pathways beckon.

Co-concelebrated by our College chaplains, Fr. Joe Begley and Fr. Kevin MacNamara, the evening included song, symbol and reflection. Head Prefect Donal Foley reminisced on the past years on behalf of the year group, Fr. Kevin advised all to go forth and embrace the positive in life while school principal Sean Coffey congratulated the class on their unique talents and abilities, a great addition to the history and tradition of the College.

Following the going forth, all 300 guests were invited to a Parents’ Association BBQ in the College Quad. The evening concluded with an opportunity for family time, with the State Exams large on the horizon the graduation and family celebration was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their years together at St. Brendan’s.
