1916 Writing Competition

MDLyons Picture1The 1916 Rising was a revolution led by idealists and writers who dared to dream. What better way to commemorate their sacrifice than with a writing competition? The students at St Brendan’s rose to the challenge in both Irish and English.

Congratulations to Evan O Callaghan and Adam O Connor who scooped the poetry and prose prizes respectively in the Junior Category, James Knoblauch who won the Intermediate/Senior English language category and Marc Cúipéir who took the honours in the Irish language category.
