With a proud tradition of extracurricular opportunity in Music, Athletics, Debating, Basketball, Arts and cultural activities, Choir, Soccer, Quizzes and most significantly Gaelic Football, and with a growing engagement in Social Justice and Community activities, Outdoor Pursuits’, Hurling, Dance, Art and Orienteering, St. Brendan’s provides a broad co-curriculum which serves to enhance your son’s development.
Our vibrant Religious Education, Special Education Needs, Pastoral Care and Career Guidance Departments offer your son an education rich in spirituality, support and direction, preparing your son to become a happy, confident self-directed young man capable of participating fully in life.
As a school we are extremely mindful of the importance of the transition from primary to secondary school. Towards that end we have developed a series of activities throughout your son’s sixth class which will involve activities in St. Brendan’s College designed to familiarise him with the school buildings, the new subjects, and methods to process the anxieties associated with the transfer to second level. You will also get an opportunity to begin to build relationships with teaching and support staff.
I hope the website will help you to gain an insight into life at St. Brendan’s, beginning a relationship with the school which culminates in your son’s graduation in six years time as a well-balanced, self aware, well-educated young man.
If I can be of any assistance to you at any time, please do not hesitate in contacting me through the school office.
